the advantages of banana

Banana is the common name for a fruit and also the herbaceous plants of the genus Musa which produce this commonly eaten fruit. They are native to the tropical region of Southeast Asia. Bananas are likely to have been first domesticated in Papua New Guinea. Today, they are cultivated throughout the tropics.
Banana plants are of the family Musaceae. They are cultivated primarily for their fruit, and to a lesser extent for the production of fibre and as ornamental plants. As the banana plants are normally tall and fairly sturdy they are often mistaken for trees, but their main or upright stem is actually a pseudostem (literally "fake stem"). For some species this pseudostem can reach a height of up to 2–8 m, with leaves of up to 3.5 m in length. Each pseudostem can produce a bunch of yellow, green or even red bananas before dying and being replaced by another pseudostem.
The banana fruit grow in hanging clusters, with up to 20 fruit to a tier (called a hand), and 3-20 tiers to a bunch. The total of the hanging clusters is known as a bunch, or commercially as a "banana stem", and can weigh from 30–50 kg. The fruit averages 125 g, of which approximately 75% is water and 25% dry matter content. Each individual fruit (known as a banana or 'finger') has a protective outer layer (a peel or skin) with a fleshy edible inner portion. Both skin and inner part can be eaten raw or cooked. Western cultures generally eat the inside raw and throw away the skin while some Asian cultures generally eat both the skin and inside cooked. Typically, the fruit has numerous strings (called 'phloem bundles') which run between the skin and inner part. Bananas are a valuable source of vitamin B6, vitamin C, and potassium.
Bananas are grown in at least 107 countries.[3] In popular culture and commerce, "banana" usually refers to soft, sweet "dessert" bananas. The bananas from a group of cultivars with firmer, starchier fruit are called plantains. Bananas may also be cut and dried and eaten as a type of chip. Dried bananas are also ground into banana flour.
Although the wild species have fruits with numerous large, hard seeds, virtually all culinary bananas have seedless fruits. Bananas are classified either as dessert bananas (meaning they are yellow and fully ripe when eaten) or as green cooking bananas. Almost all export bananas are of the dessert types; however, only about 10-15% of all production is for export, with the United States and European Union being the dominant buyers.

What is a budget?

A budget is a forecast of profit a business expects to generate in a given period, usually a year. It sets targets for income and expenditure during the period. Estimates are made of anticipated income that the business will receive from selling its product, and its expenditure on items such as raw materials, personnel costs, advertising, power, transport and administration.

Since the budget forecast events up to a year ahead, the estimates are really only guesses. However, the more accurate the guesses the more accurate the forecast – and the more useful it will be. While the budget normally covers a full year, it is devided into a shorter periods of periods of perhaps a month, so that the actual income and expenditure of the business can be compared with the forecast figures on a regular basis. In this way, if there is any variance so that it looks as though the business may not achieve its anticipated profit it can decide on the appropriate action.

This may involve increasing sales ton generate more revenue, or reducing expenditure. The more detailed the budget is, the easier it is to identify what action the business needs to take.

When preparing the budget, each department in the business will forecast its own costs for period. This is done on the basis of past experience (for example how much things cost last year) and knowledge or expectation of future trends. In similar way, the sales department will forecast sales for the period. From this information, each department will produce its own budget. Most departments’ budgets other than the budget of the sales department will consist only of expenditure. When all the budgets have been prepared, they are combined into a master budget which shows anticipated expenditure, income, and profit for whole business. The business can then decide whether the anticipated profit is as required, or whether action must be taken to increase sales or control expenditure in order to generate futher profit.

Tugu Batu’s tragedy – The death accident!

Every day, many victims are added in the road because of an accident in Indonesia. One of them is the death or the terrible tragedy happened around Tugu Tani, Jakarta. At least there were nine people died and many people were injured. It was so terrible!!

Some families of the victims blamed the driver to be punished seriously. It’s because she had killed their family and the other people by driving her car carelessly. Although some families wished she got the serious punishment, the judge decided that she will be punished for fifteen years instead. The judges are blamed her by chapter 338 KUHP. It made the families became angry. It’s because they felt that it is not appropriate to her.

In other side, the driver didn’t brave to go outside. Some people assumed that she is afraid to be blamed and to be hit by the society. She just sent a letter of apology to her family and asked them to read it in front of many people. It made the victim’s families get angry more. They thought that she is not a responsibility person. “We need her responsible,” said the wife of one victim. “Fifteen years punishment is not appropriate for her. She has killed many people, I wished that the judge can consider his decision one more time”, she added.

Will the judge consider his decision again as the victim’s families wish? Or the judge still never want to change his decision? Let’s see what will happen next! We hope that it will give a justice for them both.

What happens in Indonesia nowadays?

Nowadays, the number of crimes in Indonesia always increase everyday. It’s started from accident- whether died or injured, ravishment, embelishment, robbing, and etc. The perpetrators can do their action everywhere and everytime. Everybody can be the victims. How come it can happened in our country?

Doesn’t the police punish them seriously? Or the punishment is too easy for them? We had never known.

Don’t the perpetrators think and consider about the victim’s family? Let’s remember some tragedy happened recently like the tragedy of Tugu Batu or the tragedy of ravishment on public transportation! Those caused many victims. It’s started from some kids, some teenagers, and some adults. It’s so terrible to imagine.

Unfortunately, there is no right action done by the government to decrease it. It’s because the number of victims still increase each day. We have to do some action to decrease it. It can be started from ourselves by taking care to ourselves. Let’s paying attention and taking care to ourselves right now!
